AFCA stands for the maintenance of a strong sense of community, with a tradition of participation, co-operation and self-help by local people and seeks to build on these strengths. AFCA believes that local people must have a say in the provision of government services and facilities and in the planning and development of Alphington and Fairfield, its parks, waterways and environs. It also believes that there must be a balance between the interests of local residents and wider state and national considerations in the development of Alphington and Fairfield.
